Week 1 Wimba session 1
This week’s introductory Wimba Session was well-paced and
helped set the stage for the upcoming weeks. Time management has always been a big part of success for
the EMDT program and this week’s layout of expectations was a great meeting
place for us as students to get ready for our grand finale of the course. The main take away for me was the
importance of preparation and pace. The Literature Review has been an ongoing
project alongside the CBR (or AR depending on your track) and having upcoming
due dates and a refresher discussion about what’s to come helped paint the big
picture for how it’s going to all come together.
I must admit I’m excited but also a little stressed out. I
changed tracks from AR to CBR in the earlier months and then lost my entire CBR
site due to a virus that wiped out my files and corrupted my MobileMe account
backed up work. In the end, I try
to see it as a positive as these things happen all the time and when they do
you have to learn to improvise and in my best Tim Gunn voice…ahem “make it work”.
Hmmm... kind'a reminds me of comments made about George Lucas' directing style (or the lack thereof). Story goes that during the filming of the original StarWars movie when the actors were looking for specific direction, he's just say, "go faster." Not really helpful. But I guess in the end, if one is behind, one must just go faster. Yikes. Welcome to month 11(?)
